Dr. Ifat Sher is the Head of the Retinal Research Lab and a Senior Researcher at the Goldschleger Eye Institute, Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, Israel.

Dr. Sher received her PhD in Biology from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

Following completion of a postdoctoral fellowship at Cornell University, New York, she joined the Sheba Medical Center where she studies neuroretinal degeneration and develops cell-based therapies for the treatment of retinal dystrophies. She is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of start-up companies and received several awards, including the Israeli Society of Vision and Eye Research, EMBO and Wolf foundation.
